On Saturday, April 25, nearly 300 guests gathered at SNPJ Lodge 106 in Imperial for the Benjamin Benefit Foundation’s Third Annual Night at the Races — and what an unforgettable evening it was.
With this year’s theme, “All Bets on Brighter Days,” the ballroom was filled with excitement, laughter, and purpose as friends, families, sponsors, and supporters came together to celebrate Benjamin’s legacy and support BBF’s mission.
From the moment doors opened, guests enjoyed an evening packed with energy and entertainment. Attendees explored the silent auction and basket raffle, tried their luck at the wine pull and card raffle, and connected over a delicious buffet prepared by The Cooked Goose. Pittsburgh Popcorn Company and Ross Pretzel Factory added fun and flavor with specialty snack stations that quickly became guest favorites.
The evening officially kicked off with welcoming remarks, a moving tribute, and a powerful BBF impact video that reminded everyone why this event matters so deeply. While Benjamin may not be physically here, his spirit continues to inspire meaningful work throughout our community — and that impact was felt in every corner of the room.
Then came the races.
As betting windows opened and horses lined up across eleven exciting races, the crowd came alive. Cheers echoed through the ballroom as guests placed wagers, celebrated wins, and embraced the friendly competition that has become a hallmark of this signature event. Side games like Heads or Tails and the 50/50, along with the beloved Last Turtle Standing, kept the excitement rolling throughout the night.
A special thank-you goes to our featured sponsors, Exhale Therapy and Team Worldwide, whose partnership helped elevate the event experience and bring the evening to life. Guests enjoyed complimentary VIP Heads or Tails entries courtesy of Exhale Therapy, while Team Worldwide added excitement through the evening’s interactive envelope game. Their generosity and commitment to our mission helped make this year’s event especially memorable.
Events like Night at the Races are only possible because of an incredible community. To our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, donors, and every guest who purchased a ticket, sponsored a horse, or supported our raffles — thank you. Your generosity allows the Benjamin Benefit Foundation to continue supporting medically fragile children, families navigating grief, and community initiatives carried out in Benjamin’s memory.
We laughed, we cheered, and together we made a difference.
Because when this community comes together, all bets truly are on brighter days.
